Team for Southampton
Like most, I can't wait to get back to the Prem following the latest international distraction. Interesting selection issues for Moyes this week as he considers whether or not to throw any of the new signings straight into the side and assesses the fitness and freshness of the players that have been away on international duty.

For me, if everyone is fit and available, the only change would be to bring in Zouma for Dawson. He is just such a classy player that I don't think Moyes will waste any time with some kind of gradual introduction.

I fully expect Vlasic to feature in this game. It could well be from the start but I think it's more likely to be from the bench. It's going to be interesting to see whose place he takes - no obvious candidate for me. I expect to see a lot of rotation between Vlasic, Fornals, Benrahma and Bowen for the three spots behind Antonio, with Vlasic gradually establishing himself as a regular starter. Kral, I'm sure, will be fully aware that he has to wait a bit longer, but he could get a debut off the bench in this one if we're comfortably ahead.

Fabianski
Coufal Zouma Ogbonna Cresswell
Soucek Rice
Bowen Fornals Benrahma
Antonio

Subs: Areola, Fredericks, Johnson, Dawson, Diop, Noble, Kral, Lanzini, Yarmolenko.

I would go with the same starting line up but we don't need four defenders on the bench, so dawson can rest and nikola can get a spot

You wouldn't play Benrahma, who has been aside from Antonio our best player?

LOL!

We've played 3 games this season and scored 10 goals and COYI wants to drop Benrahma who has been directly involved in 6 of them.

That's INVOLVED IN 60% OF OUR GOALS BENRAHMA he wants to drop.

Zouma the only change for me in for Dawson

I'd replace Fabianski with Areola...feel it's time to move that position forward.

Tough on Dawson, but feel keeping Diop at least involved in first team affairs is more important for harmony and future benefits.

Suddenly the bench looks worth having.

Not sure if Zouma will go straight in as he’ll have only joined up with the squad a day or so beforehand.

Areola should come in though

Interesting now how we will juggle prem games and europa league.

I dont see Dawson being dropped straight away and maybe he will go with Diop and Zouma for Thursday?

Will it be a case of premier league has priority and as many changes as possible will be made for Europa?

The likes of Antonio and Cresswell have to be carefully managed.

Bugger! That's the second time in a row I've fucked up! Getting careless, or senile. Ok, so Vlasic on the bench in place of one of the defenders, don't care which.

Maybe give up making these threads?

You literally have one contribution to this site a week and you seem to fuck it up every time.

Moyes don't have the bollocks to do that, but I suspect it will happen at some point.

In fairness I don't think many managers will swap out their keeper along with with possibly a centre back as well (both making their debuts) unless it's due to injury or ban. Zouma gets the priority for me if there is a change to the team.

PS. I agree both need to be introduced into the team though
